Labor Day Weekend...

This weekend we went down to Charlotte for the game and to spend some time with J's family. It was so nice to be with everyone, especially J. I got to see some college friends, eat a lot of dip and the gamecocks won! It was a fabulous time.

We are now back in Winston-Salem and J is working on some accounting. The old me would probably be badgering him to talk to me but I am honestly just so glad we are in the same place. I hope something works out soon so our long distance days will be numbered.

Looking forward to a Monday off and have a long list of things I want to accomplish:
  1. Unpack boxes (at least some of them)
  2. Apply, apply, apply
  3. Hang curtains
  4. take Huck on a long walk
  5. Read
  6. Find a desk for the guest room/office
  7. Set up utilities in our name
Seemed like a lot more in my head, but to be honest if I can get rid of some of these boxes I will be thrilled.

Since the beginning of our three weeks of no cable I have watched more UNC-TV than most can claim to in their lives, including a special on the chimney sweeps and other migratory birds of NC twice in its entirety. We are getting access to these channels by an antenna propped on top of 3 medium size moving boxes from the U-haul store. I would like to say that this is a temporary solution but... it may just grow on us.

Happy Labor Day!
